da roleta: In today’s Everton transfer roundup, we take a look at the hot topics doing the rounds. Cenk Tosun heads closer to the exit at Goodison park, Marco Silva still keeps tabs on young Frenchman Sacha Semaoun, whilst he considers young Scotland star James Scott.
Summer target Semaoun still considered
da dobrowin: Report: Not many fans would have heard of the name Sacha Semaoun before, although, Marco Silva is very much aware of the 18-year-old, and perhaps one of his biggest admirers. As reported by La Depeche, the Everton boss sent scouts to watch Seamaoun ‘several times’ and although no official offer was made, the scouts are keeping a close eye on the Frenchman as he continues to develop at Toulouse.
Verdict: In the future, it should be expected that Everton will be linked with the striker once more as he hinted to La Depeche he could eventually move overseas claiming “it was too early to go abroad” right now. It is clear that Silva has been targetting youngsters over the last year, bringing in Moise Kean, Richarlison and Yerry Mina and perhaps in the future Semaoun will join them on Merseyside.

Silva keeping a close eye on Scott
Report: According to TeamTalk, a number of Premier League clubs have been keeping an eye on Motherwell striker James Scott, with Everton, Bournemouth, and Southampton amongst the names after his signature. The 19-year-old is wanted by Silva to help add to his young attacking lineup, having acquired Kean in the summer from Juventus at just 19.
Verdict: If Silva does want Scott at his service, it would be quite an unusual transfer. Quite frankly, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison, and Kean all at his disposal and under the age of 23, it is tough to justify why the Motherwell man would be needed. Furthermore, Scott only has four goals to his name at senior level and has yet to score in the Scottish Premiership this season and to be called up to the Scotland national side.
Truthfully, it is not a signing Everton need to make, nor is it one they should desire.

Tosun almost out the door
Report: Sky Sports have reported that Cenk Tosun is nearing an exit, with Qatari club Al Gharafa set to table a ‘substantial offer’ for the Turkish international. Although the European transfer window has shut, clubs in Qatar have until September 30 to bring in new faces should they please.
Verdict: This transfer could happen and happen very soon. Truthfully, Tosun has never got going with the Toffees since signing in 2018, scoring just three times in 30 Premier League appearances last season and netting five in 14 the campaign before (as per WhoScored). Also, not just has Tosun struggled to hit consistent form, he is now even further down the pecking order on the forward line, with Richarlison, Calver-Lewin, and Kean all preferred ahead of the Turkish international right now.
Tosun did, however, play in the League Cup victory against Lincoln City this season, but with no league appearance set to come any time soon, perhaps that is the level the ex-Besiktas man will play at for Everton should he stay, and as a result, we should expect his move to Qatar to happen very soon.
