Benjamin Mendy, City’s injury-prone full-back and social media fanatic, has certainly been one of them as the Frenchman took to Instagram to show his new drapes in their full glory.
Naturally, as that happened, some other superstars quickly gathered to reply to the full-back.
His compatriot Samuel Umtiti was the first one on the scene.
The Barcelona man had only one word of praise for Mendy and Manchester City’s new colours as he replied calling the kit a “beauty”.
After seeing it, it’s pretty hard to argue with the Frenchman.
As for Mendy’s footballing ventures, he has been extremely unlucky with injuries since joining the club.
The 24-year-old defender only managed to accumulate ten appearances in the top-flight last season and he will surely be hoping to breathe new life into his stuttering career in the forthcoming campaign.
But still, as his road to recovery edges ever closer, and if the latest reports are to be believed, the Citizens are still banking on him for the future and trust him to return to full fitness in the 2019/20 season.
