da esoccer bet: Arsenal are expressing an interest in signing Chelsea outcast Ruben Loftus-Cheek, according to ESPN.
What’s the word?
Unai Emery has led Arsenal valiantly in the first few months of his tenure at the Emirates Stadium, enjoying a nine-match winning streak across all competitions, but has made a bold move regarding the future of Aaron Ramsey.
The Gunners have withdrawn their contract offer for the Wales international and the 27-year-old now looks set to leave the club either in January or when his current deal expires at the end of the season, leaving Arsenal in the hunt for a replacement.
According to ESPN, Arsenal are interested in landing Chelsea outcast Ruben Loftus-Cheek from Maurizio Sarri’s side but the Blues are only prepared to sanction a departure on loan and will not look to cash-in on the 2018 World Cup ace.
An ideal recruit?
With Ramsey leaving, the Wales international leaves a huge void in Arsenal’s side and his departure will also see the Gunners lose a player with home-grown status, meaning signing a replacement from the home nations could be the ideal move.

Loftus-Cheek, who starred for Crystal Palace on loan last season and featured for England at the World Cup in Russia, is 22 years of age and has a bright future ahead of him, which would give Arsenal a long-term boost.
With Ramsey himself linked to Chelsea, Arsenal should consider proposing a swap deal to their London rivals that would see the former Cardiff City man move to Stamford Bridge and Loftus-Cheek arrive in the other direction.
