Having arrived in the summer transfer window on a season-long loan from Wolves (with the move being made permanent at the end of the season), Helder Costa has struggled to show why Leeds decided to bring him to Elland Road.
The Portugal international joined Wolves permanently for a then club-record fee of £13m, but his time at Leeds has been characterised by a very mediocre output.

This campaign has seen him net just four times and provide only four assists, and against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday afternoon, the 25-year-old was particularly awful.
Virtually impossible: Can you name the year all of these Leeds flops arrived at Elland Road?
As per Sofascore, he saw all three efforts on goal end up off target, completed just eight accurate passes, and lost possession 11 times too. After seeing his performance, Leeds fans flooded to Twitter to voice their thoughts on the winger.
A couple of fans suggested that Costa’s dire performance against Sheffield Wednesday was simply yet more evidence of how poor he has been overall this season.
A couple of supporters felt that the winger’s display brought into question Leeds going on to sign him on a permanent deal, with one fan calling him a “luxury we can’t afford”.
Another couple of Leeds fans took aim at Costa’s wayward shooting, with one fan rather comically warning supporters living in the area to be wary of his efforts.
In a truly shocking display, it is difficult to imagine how Costa was somehow on the books at Wolves. The winger looked all at sea with the ball at his feet, shooting waywardly on numerous occasions and not offering enough when in possession. When your striker is misfiring as Bamford did on Saturday afternoon, then you look at the players around him to try and step up. And unfortunately for Bielsa, his Portuguese winger did not manage to do that.
Meanwhile, Danny Pugh has given his verdict on this Leeds ace’s potential move to a Premier League giant.
