da bet sport: After a campaign that saw the club go so close to winning a first Premier League title, Spurs can look back on 2015/16 and be happy with the progress they have made.
da realsbet: Mauricio Pochettino has become one of the most well respected managers in the game, thanks to his playing style and the way he has evolved a Tottenham side that was still reeling from the loss of Gareth Bale when he took over.
The team are now one of the most exciting sides in the Premier League to watch as well as one of the strongest defensively and with such a young side at the Argentine’s disposal, bigger things are expected on the horizon.
The club will be looking to sign players in order to be ready for Champions League football in 2016/17 and may look to the Bundesliga for some transfer inspiration.
The top flight in Germany has a wealth of talent on show and here at Football Fan Cast we think these FIVE stars are ones the men from White Hart Lane should consider signing…
Yunus Malli
Malli has caught a number of clubs’ attention with his performances for Mainz last term.
Born in Germany, the attacking midfielder scored eleven Bundesliga goals in 34 appearances.
Malli can also play as a second striker and so would add to Spurs’ attacking threat which could be nullified if Harry Kane suffers an injury at some point next season.
Pierre Hojbjerg
Hojbjerg had been on loan at Schalke for 2015/16 from eventual champions Bayern Munich.
He can play anywhere down the spine of midfield and at the age of 20 would be the ideal candidate to learn from Mousa Dembele with the idea to eventually replace him.
Spurs looked markedly weakened at the end of the season once the Belgian had been suspended and so clearly need some strengthening in this area and Hojbjerg could just be the ideal option.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan
Spurs have a strong group of goal scoring midfielders with Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli in particular providing the side with added threat but the Dortmund midfielder Mkhitaryan would take this up a notch. T
he Armenian international scored 23 goals and added 32 assists in all competitions in the previous campaign and these totals would turn Spurs into a European force ready to compete in the Champions League.
Ricardo Rodriguez
Rodriguez is a highly coveted full-back and despite what Tottenham have in Kyle Walker and Danny Rose he’d still be a first team choice.
Rodriguez is good going forward as well as defensively and a real asset in taking set pieces with his left foot.
Currently playing for Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga he could put himself in the shop window this Summer playing for Switzerland in EURO 2016.
Julian Draxler
Another Wolfsburg player, Draxler has had a lot expected of him for some time.
The attacking midfielder can also play on either flank which would improve Spurs’ width issue and with six goals and six assists in 24 Bundesliga games, the young German carries a serious goal threat.
Draxler could become a key part of the Germany side at EURO 2016 this Summer and if he does his stock will surely rise.
