Many supporters of the south coast side seemed to fear the worst and worried the campaign would end in relegation – or at the very least a relegation battle – if performances similar to Saturday continued.
Indeed, a few Saints fans insisted they are in for a “long season ahead” and even suggested potentially going down “doesn’t seem that bad”.
